About these terms
These terms cover your use of the VibeNotch app and this website. VibeNotch is made by Rayan (byrayan.dev), called "we" or "us" here. By installing or using VibeNotch, you agree to these terms.
Free trial
You can use every feature free for 3 days, with no card needed. The trial runs inside the app. When it ends, VibeNotch asks for a license key before you can keep using it.
Buying
VibeNotch costs £9.99, paid once, VAT included. Your order is processed by Polar, which is the seller (merchant of record) for the sale. Polar's own terms, linked from the checkout, cover the payment itself, and these terms cover the app.
Straight after you buy, Polar emails you a link to your order, where you'll find your license key.
Your license
Buying VibeNotch gives you a personal license to use it. That means:
- You can use it on 1 Mac at a time. To move it to a new Mac, deactivate it on the old one in settings first.
- You get every version 1 update free. If there's ever a version 2, it may be a paid upgrade, and version 1 keeps working.
- Your license doesn't expire.
Please don't share your key publicly, resell it, or try to get around the license check. We may deactivate keys that are shared or abused.
Requirements
VibeNotch needs macOS 14 Sonoma or later, on Apple silicon or Intel. On Macs without a notch, and on external displays, it draws a notch at the top of the screen instead. Please use the free trial to check it works well on your Mac before you buy.
Other services
VibeNotch works with apps and services we don't run, including Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Slack, Discord, Google, Microsoft, Spotify, Apple Music and the browsers it reads playback from. Their own terms apply when you use them. If one of them changes or stops working with VibeNotch, we'll try to keep up, but we can't promise that every feature will keep working with every service.
Agent approvals are your call
VibeNotch shows you what your coding agents ask to do and passes your answer back. You stay responsible for what you approve, so read requests before you allow them, especially commands that change or delete files.
Refunds
You can get a full refund within 14 days of buying, for any reason. See the refund policy for how.
Warranty and liability
We work hard to make VibeNotch reliable, but it's provided as it is, and we can't promise it will be free of bugs or always available. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, such as lost data, lost work or lost profits, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for VibeNotch.
Nothing in these terms takes away your legal rights as a consumer, or limits liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll change the date at the top when we do. Changes won't take away anything you've already paid for.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you keep any protections your local law gives you, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
